Limping and gimping, but OK

BIKE COMMUTE total 15 miles
STRENGTH

Writing this ahead of the strength training, I'm assuming it's a no legs workout day.

Sleep was rough last night because most every turn hit the super sore quad muscle. The bruise and knot are still developing. Once up and moving, the pain improved but walking the dog was definitely slower than my usual pace. I was worried about biking to work, but to my surprise it hurt much LESS! I kept the gearing easy and hoped that the really light rain that was falling didn't add to my woes. Just can't catch a break here lately. Well, at least I didn't break something yesterday!

Finishing this off the next day. I felt pretty awful by the time I rode home from work. Zero energy, wasn't even sure I should go to the gym or not. But by the time I got a little more to eat I was feeling more perky, waited for the rain to pass then walked the dog, and chatted a bit with Dad I felt better and rode off to see JG.

We talked about the section of the Sisson book I sent him, he modified his original plan for me today, and the plan for Friday is to merge the book ideas with my trail running goals and get more plyometric and 'fast circuit' training.

When the session ended, it was raining again. It tapered off by the time I was ready to ride, still a cold wet ride home. But I certainly felt much better after that! The legs hurt but not more than expected.
