RIDE with mentoring group 10 mins in ~45 mins
No run today :( This was already planned from last week, I said I wouldn't be there as I was tapering. But in my head I wasn't running because I'm "injured". Gawd I hates this.
So I rode instead, kept it simple with no big ring and only a few stands. Riding inside is boring, but I made use of it by testing my new Yurbuds!
Yes the knee hurt on the ride. And on the commute. And I'm typing this before the homebound commute and the mentoring ride. Will update....
Update: I forgot to start the Garmin, although I was careful to wear the damned thing, so a MMR review estimates 10 miles, I'm going to guess in about 45 mins. We had me CT, Mike of SpudMan triathlon, Jennifer of racing STL Tri on Sunday, and 2 new riders (on the bike 4th time)!! Yay! Great group, poor J toppled in a clip error at an intersection, then poor M did after looking back to see the group. But both were thankfully OK.
They all remind me of why I love this so much. They all had smiles, open minds, their own stories, and a willingness to challenge themselves. I didn't want to go to this ride due to schedule constraints but I'm so glad I did. The rewards are endless.
And my knee still f^cking hurts.
