IDEAL RUN PACE for upcoming races! Add lot of stars and underlines and highlights and more. This is IT. BINGO. SHAZAM. NAILED IT.
The last two runs I did, one "speedwork" and the other "long" had higher HR's and took effort. They were a workout. This run however was relaxing and refreshing and it's like I didn't run at all.
Lookit that heart rate! Lookit that cadence! Remember this day, little brother. LOL.
EW and I on this one, IT and BE were off the front right away. EW did a Wellbridge class last night and was tired and sore. Me too, so we did the zoo loop nice and easy.
I was running slightly ahead of her, which tells that part of me expected to "GO", but of course I didn't. Hard to chat when you do that :) It didn't feel cramped or strained to slow down, wasn't hard, and in the end this was my best feeling run all this week.
Slow down, not to go faster, but to go farther.
Near the beginning of the run, EW said something along the lines of "tj I don't want you to die, but if you do I wonder if it's suicide or death by unnaturally natural causes". LOL!! It's not exactly what she said, but that's the takeaway.
No hip pain today, all good. I'm paying attention to how and if I engage my "hip core". And to my posture, I think I'm slumping a bit.

Follow up on nutritionist. Seems all good? But she's encouraging more variety. I'm open to it, asked for for recommendations on where to start. I will when I'm ready. Wonder what it's like to try to help someone like me, already eating healthy but actually rather orthorexic about it.

I need to register for Badger! I tried to map out what I might call my Replica Run 100K on say the Katy Trail but it won't suffice. I'll be tempted to stop early. I'll lack the mental stimulation of aid stations and new scenery and other runners. I won't have the support or push. And ugh, 62 miles on the KT. Maybe on a bike!
Am I ready for 62 miles? Think on that for a few hours.
