Full moon TGP 10-miler. With fog.

RUN 10.3 miles in 1:47. 10:26 m/m pace, ave HR 140, ave cad 168

To bed around 730pm, and up again at 315am like last week. To beat the heat, to enjoy some night life, and to avoid all the crazy that comes out with the sun. It worked!

My gut still isn't as on board with this, but it caught on around mile 7.5 or so. Stupid gut.

I had my mashed potatoes ready, 200g with an egg yolk, half last night and half this morning. Some banana, some yogurt oats but not more than a spoonful. This worked. Oh and half a powerbar for some unknown reason. Didn't need it.

Perfectly calm, quiet, warm, and humid from all the rain yesterday. Yesterday's full moon hung in the southwest, slowly dropping as I ran. Loop BP, Arse to Compton, around the water tower, loop in Shaw Place, to TGA, around the Bug Store and along MOBot to TGP, TGP until I knew I had enough distance in, home. With extra tenths and extra cool down walk.

I was in a mood, full of voices echoing in my head about "too much/fast/hot/hilly/far/soon/etc" that I keep hearing. This likely from yesterday's Dr L conversation and the potential upcoming with Jeff. Still undecided on that. So I was a bit faster than last week, or so it felt, the pace didn't really reflect anything faster. The garmin pace graph does show sub-10's the first 4-5 miles. I did a short walk every 2 miles for the first 6, then short walk every mile or so.

The sun slowly came up as I came into TGP, and it revealed a wall of white fog across the park. The sun shone through it, creating what looked like a white wall across the park. Part of me wanted to run across the grass to run through it, but I stuck to the paths. Hates getting my feets wet! Ugh. PanZ.

I remembered I had a clementine around mile 7.4, yummy. I slowed around this point, less push on the pace and less "go". All good, I kept up on my form and tried to imagine what Jeff or Dr L would say if I was running by them. They'd probably say I was running too much/fast/hot/hilly/far/soon/etc. They'd probably be right.

No pains, specifically. My quads have bruised lumps from Dr L yesterday, but quads OK today. My right hip flexor (which if I had to guess I pulled or irritated when I coughed while running last week) is pained, but it didn't bother me. I'm somewhat concerned about the joints and soft tissues in my feet, they are taking a beating and are sore and stiff every morning. Working on that!

Later while getting ready to bike in, I pulled Puppy out on the deck and banged the pedal into my left shin. I do that a lot it seems. But when riding on TGA up to Vande I felt a sharp pain, like I was stung by a wasp or bee or cut by road debris. Nope, the pedal did some damage, and in the next hour a rock-like black-bruised bump developed. Ugh. And ow.
