Oh SNOW!! Oh YES!!!

RUN 7.4 miles in 1:12, FoPa look in fresh snow!

I get anxious when I have an unplanned schedule and a run I want to do. I spend more time thinking about when I'll run than I do on what I'm supposed to be doing. So when I drive out to the pool to host a holiday swim, then drive to FoPa to host another Club clinic, the whole time snow is accumulating, the clock is ticking, my nutrition is waiting......I don't like it.

So I was happy to leave the clinic midway through (I didn't have a 910 or 920, so the clinic was over my head!) to head out in the snow for my run. I calculated, over and over and over, that if I ran 7.4 miles I'd hit my goal of 45 for the week. Earlier this morning I decided I'd be happy with 5-6 today. And starting out in the fresh 2" of snow I thought 5-6 miles still sounded good! But I pushed it through, decided to take it one mile at a time, and decide at benchmarks what I'd do. In the end, I made it all they way around instead of turning around, kept running instead of walking, and just slowed down when the snow annoyed my instead of stopping. Go me!!

I LOVE RUNNING :)

As I said, 45 miles this week. Goal!!

While running, I tried to plan how I can incorporate swimming and biking into this schedule. And some plyometrics to build my trail running strength up. I have trouble planning things in a distracting run, so I didn't finish. But the seed is planted. I'd like to get more rounded in terms of fitness, I like the all-around feel of triathlon training.
