RUN 6 miles in 54 mins
OK I'll be honest. It was really 5.99 miles in 54 mins. By the time I reached 5.95 miles I was climbing the hill past the skating rink in FoPa on my way back to work. The hill was slick mud from the melted snow. Sure, I could have run it. I tried. But I was tired and done with this run, and as I watched the distance crawl up to 6.00 I decided at 5.99 to call it done. As soon as I did, it rolled in to 6.
And in another honest moment, I hit 54 mins at 5.95, not at 6. That extra whine-filled-walk to 6 really added up to 54:20. ha!
I was supposed to do speed work today, a 30 min session of 1 lap mod and half lap rest. That sounded boring, and I needed to be at work early for the doctor appt later today. So I decided to run the road, and the plan said 1 min mod and 30s rest. Sounded good, until I got to running around 9am and didn't feel it. So I just ran, I had to move the truck from the metered lot to the park, ran from the truck to Skinker on the not-often-visited trails inside the park, then back to work on the usual trails. Not a very inspiring run.
Then the rest of the day I was dehydrated. Working on that! Shhhh, don't tell EH&S.
Dr M update!! I am improving, some functions coming back sooner than others as expected. I'm cleared to swim, freestyle only, and clear to ride the bike. If I ride in aero, start on the flats. And see Tim the bike fitter to check that my back is not bowed. Yay!
