This commute felt so much better than last weeks. Is it because I did that one on a Weds after a speed work session? This one after a rest day? Either way, awesome energy both ways.
The morning trip was plaqued with icy sidewalks. I ended up running the grass or doing the short-quick-step trying to not fall. I routed around TGP to Kings where I found ice on the park streets too. I chose the potentially-poopy grass littered with those gum balls from the trees. Rather have shit or gum than fall on ice!
The afternoon trip usually feels sluggish. Today was sluggish, but not as sluggish. Both trips listened to my TJM podcast -- the Tuscobia episode. Damn that sounds like a COLD race! Knowledge gem from the episode, Never pick up a sock at a winter ultra. LOL! That podcast got me thinking of which race I'd like to volunteer at this summer.
As for weather, warming up! Thinking BIKE RIDE this Saturday :)
