Float, Float, FLOAT

RUN 10 miles in 1:25
BIKE COMMUTE 9.5 miles

The forecast is calling for warm today, 50's maybe close to 60! So when you wake up and it's only 39....it's too cold!

But not too cold. In fact, it's wonderful either way. It wasn't my intent to run the first loop so fast, but we did it in 55 mins. Me, JA, and Dvd (?). So many new people! I feel like I'm talking about my injuries too much. Gotta be boring to hear about it, and it means it's on my brain a lot. Gotta move on!

The first loop pace was 8:20, the second segment (out and back to the bench on Skinker hill) no so great at 8:49. We weren't stopped for too long, more of a lack of push from a group and the fact that I'm tired! This puts me at 27 miles in 3 days :)

So as I'm running outbound -- sun shining, birds singing, so many other runners -- it was great. But a mental struggle. Kept telling myself to get to the bench, don't slack, go. It became a chant of float...float...float...  Float to the bench - keep it light, easy, smooth. This worked. But ugh what a push it was!

I was pleasantly surprised to see the 8:49 pace later on! Did NOT feel that good. The fatigue has been adding up, I even skipped my "abs challenge" this morning. I did get it finished later in the day, knew I'd regret missing it!

Tomorrow is a rest day, Saturday a bike day!! Sunday a long run.
