RUN 14.3-ish miles in about 3 hours?
Ran today with new friend H who is racing the L&C half mary next weekend. He cusses, so he's right fine in my book! TV has run with him before, he's a good runner and should have a great race!
I felt great today, even though after yesterday's 16 miles and Friday's strength training I expected I'd be a bit tired. I was sore, but not to any detriment to the run today.
Beautiful sunny day, and markedly chillier than the past few weekends! Fall is coming up fast!
Speaking of fall, I did of course fall on today's run, about 2 miles from the finish. Clear trail with a clearly visible root. Hit the right knee hard, it's scraped and bruised and hurts way more than it looks like it should. The right elbow just got dirty. So minor damages -- hey, maybe I'm getting better at this falling stuff?
I had intended to hit 65+ miles this week, so I was disappointed to see the math come up to only 50.5. That included a rest from the 10x10. So do I consider this a 'down' week? TV is 'down' this week and peaks next week at his usual 100. He'll run 100 miles and still run me into the ground next weekend.
