RUN 16.2 miles in 2:29
The original plan was for 6 miles. It was supposed to rain all day, seriously it said 100% chance midweek, which reduced to 80% Friday, then 0% today, so I thought I'd run Fo Pa from work or just TGP from home.
Instead of rain it was nearly full sun. Nice job on the forecast, guys! I had to work anyway to I figured I'd save drive time and parking and just run to work for 10 miles. Then I for some reason thought 15 sounded good, I think because that's what the training plan called for. Then somehow that turned into 16. +0.2, of course.
This run felt good, and even felt better in the last 4 miles that it did in the first 6. Ran a little extra on the inbound to bank miles, ran past the Fo Pa VC and back during an incubation, didn't want a gel and instead thought I'd eat 2-3 sugar packets but found the break room door locked, when out the door without any fuel and to my surprise felt awesome for it! Had a big breakfast, so maybe the sluggy inbound feeling was from digesting?
Either way, a great morning and a great run. Some right hip pains again that alleviated with a brief walk. Not sure what the deal is there.
