He lost his phone!

BIKE COMMUTE 10 miles
BONUS BIKE 12 miles

Rode to the gym and after a few mins at the counter learned that JG had lost his phone and had to cancel appts. I hadn't heard from him so I waited a few mins, decided to leave, and on the way out was bro-joked by another gym goer. Apparently I'm recognized as 'the triathlete'. He was interested in doing one someday, but 'had other goals to hit first'. I bro-joked back about 'his excuse'. haha! He took it well.

I decided that instead of staying indoors to do a workout I'd ride a few extra miles outdoors. My legs and body needed a bit of rest and I was already rushing around the house to get things done so this worked for me.

Did 20 mins of LP loops, lost count after 3 or 4 and realized I needed a way to calculate how far I was going! The plan was to ride until the 20 min alarm went off on the phone. To figure it out, I actually counted the seconds to get a minute/loop number. Took 90 seconds to ride 2 sides of the park, so 3 mins/loop. As expected then, midway through my last loop the phone sounded. So while I lost count (how could I lose count so quick? Well, I wasn't really paying attention and counting...) I'm pretty certain that 7 miles was the final number.

Itching to sign up for my next races -- thinking the 50K at Cry Me A River and the 100M at Farmdale. Not sure what I'm waiting for? But one year ago TODAY I started the KM100! I think it'd be fun to say I was signed up for the next 100 in one year, but that's not a great reason to jump into a registration.
