Do what you do with authenticity. One year SCD. CMAR registration.

RUN 10.2 miles in 1:40, for a 9:50 ave pace
BIKE COMMUTE 9.5 miles

Another hot morning, another run, pretty much the same route as yesterday but this time I wandered more. East to Lemp, north to Syndey, over I55, etc etc etc, to LP then CHP them CH then home. The goal was to never get into a pace that exceeded "nose breathing". Did it! Felt great.

Used my mints again, this time every odd mile. They really do motivate, I hear a garmin beep and think "yay!".

No knee pain, but some left quad bone pain. Kinda in the hip too. This has been a tight sore spot the past few days. A few nights ago the bone ached while I was in bed. I'm taking it as mileage building. Last week I hit 33.5 miles, goal this week is 40-ish. So I'm pushing it.

Hot out again even at 630am, went through 2 handhelds but needed more. All day I'm drinking but not peeing much. Last few days my ankles and calves swell by the end of the day to the point I can feel it. Too much salt bloating? Wore compression socks today to see if it helps.

TV sent out a Pride 5K run for next Sunday, we're signing up! And in that registration I learned about Frontrunners. A group for me to join?

Listened to my TJM podcast, a solo interview with an Australian woman who inspired the title above. Be real, run for whatever reason you want to run, but run with authenticity.

Today is day 366 for the specific carbohydrate diet! I'm logging it as day 1. I set a few goals in my food journal, one of them (the first one actually) is to optimize my race nutrition. I've yet to do a major race on my new diet.

And to that goal, I registered for Cry Me A River 50K in July. I'm hovering over the Farmdale 100M registration, not sure what I'm waiting for. Why not sign up for a 5K, a 50K, and a 100M today?!
