Do you ride on the sidewalks?

BIKE total of 20 miles in 90 mins

With it being a rest week, it was easy to squeeze a long(er) bike commute to a dental appt early this morning, and flank the day with two 10 milers running. The plan was to bike to appt, bike to work tacking on extra if there was time, then bike home.

So this is sorta bike commute without really a "workout" component to it.

The ride to the appt was 8 miles, but 8 miles of busier roads than I'm usually on. Arsenal to SW to Manch and arrived. Took 36 mins. Couldn't find a bike rack so Puppy came indoors. As per usual, and as I kinda enjoy, the questions started coming. "You bike in this heat?" "Do you ride on the sidewalks?", "How far did you ride...OMG!". LOL, I've learned that just wearing the clothing around is enough to prompt questions in the hallway, store, elevator. I've met more people this way, and most of those I regularly see know me this way. I love the curiosity, always encourage them to find what makes them happy, but sometimes....sidewalks?!

After 40 mins of mostly scratching stains (No, I don't drink coffee or red wine, some tea, but oh yes I eat blueberries!) and then 3 failed attempts to numb a tooth I was back on the road. I had to make another appt to fix the cavity, yay another ride! I took a different route to work that put me on Hanley (eek!) to another errand (yay don't have to drive there now) then to Big B (eek!!) then happily FoPa. No time for extra, had to get to work.

Ooooh it was hot out though, I hear one of the hottest so far this year. I still don't have the AC on at the house, the first floor is only 79F! But here at work I'm cold and sometimes have the space heater on.

Rides felt good, but not really a work out. But it's a rest week so that's OK.
