Finally a good long swim!

SWIM: 2750y in 1:15. MS of 30x50, as odds hard and evens easy. Did the actual training plan workout!

Longest swim in a long time, yahoo!! So I took what I learned from the youtube vids (hands on the box, focus on the wrists, etc) and tried to find that feeling in 200y pull sets and in the 50fast/50easy sets. I used each 50/50 set to focus on a different feel or drill. I keep learning different drills, but they are all adding up to the same thing: don't cross the centerline in front of your head, don't cross under the body in the pull, keep elbows above the wrists, face the palm to the back of the pool, and the most elusive yet, move the body and not the water.

I was going to do Master's but a combination of sleeping in and wanting to work on these drills kept me out. Saw LC on her way out (with free paddles!) and saw EK later during the swim. Between the 3 of us, the excitement about swimming is infectious. That and if I don't keep up, they will get faster and I won't!!

I did 100y pull with bilateral, then 100y swim with bilateral. I should aim to have a bilateral practice in each swim, then maybe by September I'll have some efficieny at it? It's high time I learned bilateral breathing. But today's sets werent bad. I tip my head up on the left side still, but at least I can breath some.
