The new work week!

SWIM: just under 1hr. 3x200, 5x100, 4x250, 100 = 2200. Not quite the regimine as per CHG, but good for me.

I heard today called the start of the new work week on the radio. I never think of it that way. For me, it's always a new training week.

I was moved up a lane today. I was told that I needed more distance than what I was getting. It sounded like it could be temporary so I gave it a shot. The 3x200 was probably supposed to be more of a moderate warmup. For me it was dang near sprinting. As was the rest of the session. While my 3 lanemates were doing 5x300, I was pushing for 4x250. I was getting lapped and lapped again. I was resting on the wall to let them go by me, but in reality I also needed the rest.

It's good for me. I need that kick and push and fear of being bulldozed over to spur me to get better. Wasn't I just saying yesterday that I needed more structure? And haven't I been saying for weeks now that I need to improve? Well, here's my chance. I was sloppy and had poor form by the end, and my stomach was (and still is) upset, but here's my chance to improve. If CHG thinks I can hang in this lane, then I will. But oh am I tired. Naptime! (I wish).
