Long run #2, this is getting easier

RUN: 12.55 miles in 1:59. 9:28 pace. First 6.3 miles in 1hr, for 9:40's. Second loop of 6.2 miles in 58 mins for 9:21's.

The first loop was with the group. EK had a target HR so we had a relaxed pace. I enjoyed it!

The second loop was alone and surprisingly I was able to pick up the pace, even though by the end I was at 28.5 miles for this long run set.

Today felt good! These long runs are staying easy and my paces are picking up. A fast pace is not the goal for a 50K, so it leaves me wondering about finding a good half mary to test my newf-found speed. Maybe a May 13.1? Sub 1:50??!! That would need 8:19's.

I did pick out a 10K in early April. Need to get signed up and get it in the plans. I think it's the 2nd. Sub 50??!! That would need sub 8's. I've done 8's over 6.5 miles and 7 miles before so I can do this. I just need to do it.

There was something else.....forgot already....oh! Next week is my PEAK MILEAGE week! The goal is 57 miles. WOW. I know that a few weeks ago I did 54 miles in a week, but it didn't get logged that way. Funny how I ignore that and look for a calendar-based mileage.
