When I run, I want to look like that *that* guy

 RUN 3 miles as 5x Yasso 800s: 4:29, 4:19, 4:20, 4:21, 4:22

COMMUTE total of 15 miles, track n back and work n back

In a useful waste of time I recalculated my commute route on MapMyRide, and figured out that if I ride my TGP-to-home route on Gravois I can get an even 10 mile commute.

But firstly BE and I ran Yasso's on his suggestion. He wore his hat backwards and told me the story of having the nickname Max Bob while living on the east coast. Gorgeous morning, they all are when you're still appreciative of that fact that you didn't die on this track 2 years ago like the doctors said you could. Perspective, as TB would say.

Short WU then started, I outwardly stated that I was going to run the first one slow because the last time we did intervals I blew out too fast on the first and suffered in the rest. The rest of the intervals were surprisingly steady to my surprise. I wasn't running hard, but it was pushed. Some if it a mental drag, but never unpleasant or suffered. I just kept going. Perserverance, as TB would say.

While we were running a group of young'uns joined the track. All shirts-off and lean and young and fast. They lapped us easy, and made it look easy. BE was comparing a bit to them, naturally, as he was a cross country runner and these were likely cross country too. In our last lap, he was shirt-off and going for broke. Max Bob. We finished with strides, and told ourselves that we should look like the boys running with us. The 3rd stride was enough for me, I wasn't feeling good at that speed, I'm not in that type of shape yet. Patience. Thanks TB.
