RUN 6.5 miles in 67 mins
No commute today. Letting the legs rest. <excuse>
I did a full loop today!!! FULL. As in I ran the entire loop and didn't walk at all. WHooo!!!!
It felt great. The first 3-ish miles were with BE and EW and we did 11-11:20 m/m miles. EW dropped out for a zoo loop, and BE and I sped up to ... checking...9:32 to 9:51
I had 12000 steps after this run, shouldn't it have been more? Was my cadence low? Checking...kinda it was 166-167. Should be 170-175.
I was tired around mile 4.5 but not so that I wanted to stop. I did notice that I was running "tired" in that my form slacked and slouched. It stands to reason that if you think you're tired, you'll run tired. And if you run tired, you'll struggle to run efficiently, and you'll feel tired. It will just take time to build back the distance.
Last night I met up with RM for a dog walk. Got 18000 steps yesterday, without running! Love how he drops French and Italian cycling names like he's fluent in the language. He is, haha, in the cycling aspect of it. He knows an amazing amount about it. I enjoy it, but I'd rather on the bike than on the couch watching it.
It's been on my mind to check the status of the Hennepin Hundred race -- was it cancelled or not for COVID? I knew I wasn't running any of it this year, but was hesitant to ask for special considerations for a deferral of a deferral. I can argue it both ways -- I did pay for the race and did the volunteering to qualify for deferral, but I don't expect an RD to just keep rolling me over into perpetuity. I'd be happy to pay any price difference, but that's getting ahead of myself! See what she says in reply.
If you want to talk about getting ahead of yourself, then focus on the fact that I'm resisting the urge to call up my 100 mile training plan calculator for doing H100 in 2021. When would I have to start training? Can I do it if I'm moving? What if we go to Kazahkstan? Will LA approve of this? Let's see what my minimal mileage would need to be to start a training plan. After I get my work done, haha.
