Windy Saturday run-bike-run

RUN 2.5 miles in 23.5 mins
BIKE 20? miles in 80 mins, indoors
RUN 2.5 miles in ~22.5 mins

The original plan was to ride the MCT for two hours, but there was a nasty west wind that kicked up over the course of the morning. I was unsure of my back and shoulder in the wind -- should my first tri bike ride in over a year be in windy conditions when I'm not confident in my ability to balance and stabilize the bike?

That, and I didn't feel like driving. I drove to work the last two days for appointments in West County, I'm driving again tomorrow for a run with TV, and I hates driving. So pretty quickly I decided to ride indoors.

Ugh. Indoors. So I decided to spice it up a bit. Run, bike, run. I set out for the first run and followed what I thought would be a 2 mile loop: Jeff, Ars, Grand, Wyo, Jeff, home. Bonus half mile in there!

And since two hours outdoors riding is not the same as two hours indoors, I reduced the time. And, I don't need a knee injury caused by a sudden uptick in riding. I followed one of my training plan workouts: WU, drills, variable gear intervals, then 3x a 6' 1' 3' intervals set. Nice!

Then another run, this time it was warmer out so I could wear shorts. The goal was a negative split, so I followed the same route -- and success!
