YES! The Blerch LOST this round. I didn't get moving fast enough in the morning -- I used the "want to see the DH" excuse I so commonly use in the morning. It's true, I do want to see him. But if I left the house by 500 like I plan and get home by 7, I might could see him.
Then I think well I'll swim during the day. That didn't happen! So I was proud of myself for riding home, getting a bite to eat, walking the dog, and LEAVING FOR THE POOL!
Lotsa kids getting lessons today, I was able to share a lane with a young girl swimming on her own. It was the 30x50 workout: 10 50's descending pace, 9 50's of kick/sprint, then the last 11 at race pace.
This schedule worked for me, I wasn't cold after running. I was fueled. And it was thrilling to get it done. It wasn't the best feeling swim as measured by how my form felt, I did 300y of drill work is all, but I hope this swim style is working for me.
