Big Ole Sammie with Commuter Points

RUN 10 miles in just over 90 mins
BIKE 18 miles in 60 mins
RUN 3 miles in just under 30 mins, to work
RUN 3 more miles in about 30 mins, to home

Whew! The last run isn't done as I type this, but there's little question in my mind that I'll do it. Unlike something along the lines of yesterday's swim. I wouldn't let myself log the day until after I'd succeeded or failed the swim!

I skipped the usual Thursday run so I could maintain my own pace and schedule. They go faster than my goal pace for a session like this. I ran from home, starting at 630 (the plan was 6am!) and the sun was up just enough I didn't need lights. To TGP, around MoBot, back to TGP, trying to keep it different and fresh.

I didn't push a pace, but I was hoping for better than the 10m/m I started out at. Happily the day got warm and I was able to shed to a t-shirt. And happily I was able to fish my Camelbak handheld lid out of the hole in the ground next to that fountain in TGP. Blame the gloves for dropping it! Hehe. This felt good. No residual soreness or pain from the MT100 weekend.

Once home I was behind schedule. I'd already re-arranged the sessions to move time from the first run to the commute runs. So I stayed indoors (ugh) so I could have the mostest miles in the leastest time. No way I'd get 18 miles outdoors in one hour.

Then off to work, pushing the pace on this just a little more. Some right hip pain, most likely fatigue pain.

The run home might be tough, but I've done it before I can do it again.
