Heather said there'd be days like this

BIKE COMMUTE 9.5 miles

Last night was not a good night. Two factors to consider -- I biked to work yesterday (don't think that's it) and that the last two nights I've tried to sleep fully reclined in bed (think that's it).

I woke up at least 3 times, 1130, 130, 3, moved to the recliner, then slept until about 630.

The pain in sleeping is mostly in my back, under the shoulder blade. I can't tell if it's part of the rib break damage or not. I think so, when I take a deep breath I can feel it, but not as much as I do the front of the rib damage. So three major points of pain: at sternum, just left of boob/under my arm, and under the shoulder blade. Maybe studying some anatomy would answer this.

My lower back also hurts when sleeping but it's much better during the day. Sometimes I feel what might be sciatic stuff going on, when I'm sleeping on my side.

Still painful to stand up straight, to lean backwards, etc. Super worried something else is wrong in the vertebrae again!

PT Heather said recovery is not a straight line process, that there will be ups and downs. I'm in a down right now, looking for the up!

The pomp not as pompy today, was style by bike ride! I almost didn't ride in, when I was set to leave I just wasn't feeling it. But I realized I was going to hurt either way, driving or riding. So I picked the more enjoyable of the two. Especially considering that I'll be driving a lot tomorrow.
