SWIM about an hour, 2150y
The MS was 5x300, starting at Easy before going to Moderate, Moderate-Fast, then Race Pace twice. By the time TH, TD, and PT push off and I get started, TH is flipping at the other and already heading back. She laps me at my 125y mark, the others lap me at 150 or 175. I lose seconds waiting at the wall to let them go by, pushing me back more. At the end of my 250 they are done! If I were to do another 50 to hit the 300 goal, they'd have a minute rest. Then they'd be waiting on me, they'd be more rested, and I'd be more tired.
So I stop at 250. It sucks being the slower swimmer in the lane. But I'm so much faster than I used to be! I focus on that little speck of sunshine. (I also focus on enjoying the sunshine that comes through the pool's skylights, but that's another thing!).
We ended the MS with 4x25 sprints, NK had us do them together. Loved it!
Today starts a new nutrition test -- low FODMAP. I'm not eliminating just yet, just going low. I need to see if a few weeks of this resolves the chronic tummy pains and the less frequent horrible ones I get. At points over the weekend I realized I didn't have pains! Granted I'm eating more easily digested foods and less veggies throughout the day. Another potential cause is work stress, maybe that's why this weekend felt OK? It's a test, I gotta do something.
