great focus in the morning, better day than last Saturday!

BIKE 2hrs and 35.7 miles, 2x11.2 mile intervals
RUN 1:05hrs and 6 miles on fresh snow

Last Saturday was the bike-work-treadmill day in which I bonked and fell apart. Today's goal was to NOT do that. Succeeded there, but lost it in a few other areas. Namely staying focused on tasks and good eating. But, hey, I'm tired!

The intervals were 35 and 36 mins, averaging a 19mph average, the HRs were 119 and 109 for the two. My bike computer kept flashing low speed numbers, not sure if it was because the battery is low or because the detector was pushed away from the bike a bit. Keep an eye on it, because I don't want my intervals any longer than they have to be indoors!

The goal for the run was slow, easy, aerobic. I dug out my old brown Cascadia for the fresh snow. Two fresh layers in fact, one frozen and covered by a thin dusting that fell overnight. Pretty stuff, all glittery and clean, until you hit an unshoveled sidewalk or worse yet a sidewalk covered by the street's snowplow work. It really slowed me down, but didn't I say that was the goal?!

My goal for tomorrow is to get a real long run in. So far I've only done 12 miles for a "long run". The training plan says...huh, I don't know! Go to RW.com...change password cuz I can't remember it...ah there it is. 16 miles at 9:31 pace. Well 14 ain't too far off from that! I might could do 15, or use the Ultra plan's 40 min aerobic extension ride instead. But the pace...gonna need a better sidewalk than today's!

Oh and my feet, feeling great. As if writing about the problem made it go away. Or stopping wearing the bad shoes! I stepped on a big threshold in the house last night and bothered my right foot, and neither one felt great in bed (something about the blankets pushing down on and stretching them?) but today biking, running, walking, and standing all good.
