So much goes on that I don't mention

BIKE COMMUTE 14.6 ish miles, commute plus TGP 5 miles

I try to keep these tight and focused on just training. But when I'm not training as much... I end up not posting anything. And stuff does happen, I should mention more. So here's some random stuff.

Yesterday on the commute into work I found a $10 bill on a side street before I got to Arsenal. I rode past and saw it, thought it couldn't really be...but it was!

Today right before I left for work I got a message about an OfferUp sale, $1 for a baby spoon with an eagle on it. And guess what, the guy lives on my way to work at Taylor and Manchester.

I've been selling lots online! Some recents include the chaise lounge I bought only last fall, the mantle clock I built many years ago, my dutch oven, two boxes of random stuff thrown in for a low price. Got some free dining room chairs and a table, needed the chairs so once the table is refinished I'll sell that too. [PS I still say the chair is real wood! LOL]

Yesterday I get an email from the old neighborhood list, the people who bought the old house are doing some wallpaper and painting work, and removing wall sconces. It took me a bit to remember the old sconces - in the master bedroom over the fireplace. Good for them, I don't care what they do. But then last night I had a dream that I was going by the house repeatedly (I think I moved back into the 'hood or something) and I was seeing wild bright bold colors and nursery decorations and one time I was going through the house on a train (I dunno, it was a dream) and it was going too fast for me to tell which house I was in, but I did note that the kitchen was a rainbow ombre. eek.

I've settled on a somewhat new eating pattern that keeps my stomach really happy. I'll detail it later if it really holds up. I've cut out rice cakes and yogurt for now. Except the yogurt from SO, I'll eat that, it's special! I just pick out the nuts I can't eat. But oooooh it's too too sweet. Maybe try diluting it out with plain yogurt? And I've found what I think is the best plain yogurt, even better than Aldi - for the same price the one at Save A Lot.

Speaking of Aldi, my Aldi moves this week to a new location! Hope the prices don't go up.

And speaking of shopping, usually I do lots of weekend grocery shopping but this weekend was very minimal. I had a $10 off of a $50 order for Fresh Thyme that I used to buy nutritional yeast, my Jarrow pills, some Natural Calm, and a few treats that weren't worth it. Also tried whey protein isolate. The texture is awful but the flavor not so bad.

I still haven't purchased any meat since... November or December? I think December. I'm calling myself a facultative vegetarian - I'll eat meat if presented or the only option. The lack of interest in meat really surprised me. I don't crave it at all. But I do need to get some protein in. And protein powders don't work well for me. I'll just eat that and nothing else! I tried eggs, they don't taste good anymore. What?!

And on March 1st I stopped taking my statin prescription. I got it in my head that the med was causing the leg aches I was having every night. Not cramps, not related to activity (remember I haven't been running in February), and so to test it I stopped taking them. And the aches are gone? Or is that in my head. Either way, the cramps are gone. I have an opportunity to have my cholesterol tested at the end of March, see what happens. The statins were mostly prescribed to "reduce inflammation" after the stents were placed. So here goes another experiment.
