SWIM 1 hour 2500y
BIKE 75 mins and 16.5 miles
A real outdoor ride! I'd like to say "sun's out, guns out" but there was no sun. I'll get to that.
It was mid-60's with a strong wind out of the south. In a perfect day I'd get Frea out to the MCT and ride and ride and ride...but it's not a perfect day. So instead I went to the Y for my swim (three this week!) then set out from the Y parking lot towards the River des Peres for a ride. This route took my south into the wind so I can ride the tailwind home.
I made it out to Lemay Ferry park where the trail ended. I've ridden this with RM, and could have gone further if I'd explored the park (I think the JB) but I'd hit my goal time and it was starting to rain. So turn around. The temps started dropping a bit, so the combination of wind and rain and clouds started to chill me. I packed arm warmers as a joke, but I'm glad I wore them.
My hip pinged a bit in the ride. Couldn't narrow it down to a specific motion -- standing or starting or anything -- but it was enough that it made turning around easier to do.
I'm holding onto the idea of Frea on MCT next. I gotta dig her out of the basement first! She's been idle since Beach2Battleship.
And the hip hurt overnight, the same pains I'd get in bad as before.
