Only walking with the doggie, about 3 miles.
The hip hurt overnight, and hurt after waking. On top of that, it was COLD outside!! 47F in the morning dropping down to 32F in the evening. And the same strong wind out the west to add a bitter bite to it.
Such an unmotivated day, didn't even do an extra walk. The wind took motivation out of me.
Further, my right ankle still feels out-of-place somehow. Like it can't move all the way, but it plantar flexes at least 95% as the left.... and that niggle of PF still there. I think I need to quit wearing those worn to hell Cascadias. My favorite shoes! From the 2016 racing season though, maybe time to retire.
But I did start searching for races, specifically a half distance. I forgot that Litchfield has a new half distance tri! Sept 9, I have it in the calendar.
On top of that, I pulled out the ironman training plan I love so much. I did this before finding the Litchfield tri, by the way. I want better swim workouts than what the little swim training book gives me. It's too generic, while the ironman plan has specifics better than "swim a 300". I looked at the hours per week -- starts at 8. I did the math, Litchfield is 21 weeks out. The plan has a half at 22 weeks. I'm a week late?! Haha, kidding.
But the seed is planted. Good thing to be doing while the hip hurts, right? Not really....
And it hurt overnight again.
New Moon tonight, just before 9pm. Splits the month in two, I don't know why this matters but I like it.
Well since this is a "pre" week (kidding!) here's some
NUMERICS 5:20 hours (excludes bike commute and walking)
SWIM 6450 yards in 3 swims, I think 2.5 hours
BIKE 32.5 miles, one indoor and one outdoor
RUN 3.15 miles in two runs, really walk/runs
BIKE COMMUTE 33.5
WALK 23.2
