Tapering continues, energy and mood improves

Tuesday RUN 4.2 miles in about 40 mins
     BIKE COMMUTE 9.5 miles
Wednesday RUN 0!
      BIKE COMMUTE 9.5 miles

Tuesday's run was with EW, as per our new routine. My Garmin didn't work, and my knuckle light faded out before we even left the parking lot. So a gear fail times 2. The run was good, not quite fully refreshed yet and the knee and feet are still talking to me. It felt good to end at 4, not sure if that was mental or physical. I wanted to ride more around FoPa but just didn't do it.

I mentioned yesterday that I had moments of feel good --> feel awful. It happened again today a few times. Like a catch in the back of my throat, an energy crash, a squeezed-head feeling, disoriented. Can't explain very well, but I'm attributing it to the recovery period I'm in.

Wednesday I usually run 10-16 miles so to run ZERO was a shocker! The doggie still woke me up around 5:15 and I held her off only a few minutes. Then off to prep meals and wait for the sun to come up for walkies. The sunrise isn't until almost 7 am now!! The air is notably cooler than last week at mid 60's and there was a wind out of the NW. The dog was eager to walk, but not probably for the long walk I took her on of about 2.6-2.7 miles! Out almost Grand and back with some extra blocks. Her idea of a walk and my idea of a walk differ. I like to go-go-go, she likes to sniff-pee-sniff. I need to be more patient. This is her walk, not mine! And as my energy improves I think there will be many more walks like this.

I'm definitely feeling better! It's actually fun to bike to/from work and the headwinds in either direction don't bother me. I'm smiling more and thinking creatively about work again. No energy swings today, good appetite, and I'm more willing to stand more walk around. I'm back to my stair climbing routine too. And planning my goals for October, personal and otherwise.
