RUN 5 miles in 50 mins
BIKE COMMUTE 9.5 miles
Met EW again for a Tuesday FP run. This is becoming a thing! Perfect morning, so still and calm and warm, the past-full moon overhead, and a dog waiting for a walk in the truck :) Sugar loves walkies here, she's more energetic than a sidewalk walkie. She seems to love bounding through the wet grass, and I'm getting used to the idea of a soggy wet dog getting in the truck afterwards.
My goal for the past weekend at Berryman was to wear myself down for the last time, like an energy blow-out. Well, it seems to have worked. The run today started slow and achy but improved. And the entire day was slow, less achy, but tired. My ankle is just fine, still a bit swollen. My right knee has multiple scratches and bruises, it hurts a bit as an ache and hurts to touch too much. So I'm lucky that's all I got out of those falls.
If the goal of the taper is to rest and recover, I'm starting from the near bottom of energy and motivation. Can only improve from here.
I'm researching recipes for Farmdale, looking for a potato type ones. I found a Dutch Sugared Potatoes recipe with tiny steamed potatoes fried in melted sugar and butter. I could run for that!
