RUN: 19 miles in 4:30??
I didn't keep good track of the time since I had the autopause turned off. But this is a good guess. It's slower than I would have liked, but that wasn't the goal. The goal was 4.5-5hrs on the feet with Z1-Z2 heart rate. And to play with nutrition. I ate surprisingly little today--half a fufu pancake, a gel, half a banana!
And it showed, my mind was fuzzing on the last out-n-back to the picnic table with TH. Stumbling and not focusing on the rocks--a sure sign of just eat--but we were so close to done and real food. Seems I'm getting sick of gels and bars already! Just a few more weeks and it's all over. Then I'll be back to normal.
But this is normal, really. I shouldn't kid myself. The 2013 race idea is Leadman--5K swim, 138 mi bike, and 13 mi run on the west coast. Yeehaw!!
All good today. My feet hurt on the bottoms like they did on the trails a few weeks ago. My knees sometimes felt "weak" and I worried one of them would just blow out and break but nothing like that happened. Yay. I live to run another day :)
