NO SWIM
NO BIKE
Ugh, I've been feeling sick since Thursday. Stomach cramps, fatigue, nausea, headache. I took it in stride and just figured it was the travel schedule and different foods. Try as I may, it's hard to keep "normal" when traveling, even if it's to home.
Sunday night I felt awful but chalked it up to the long ride. During the night I slept poorly and often awoke to stomach pains and that rising, imminent feeling of up-chuck. The night hours are infinitely longer under those conditions. Finally at 530am my tummy got rid of what was bothering it. (and once I saw what it got rid of, I agreed that it needed to be removed!) I went back to bed, and stayed there until 11am. I thought I could go to work, but realized I was having muscle aches. Flu?!? So I stayed home.
Back to bed until 3pm, at which point I started to wake up. Nope, back to bed. At 5pm I got up and stayed up, decided to get something done so it's not a completely wasted day and poly'd the doors. Once I started, I didn't want to finish. But I did.
I ate kinda good all day, knowing that the better I ate and drank the faster I'd be back on my feet. I really missed the workouts today, especially the bike. It's so gorgeous outside! But I didn't even have the energy to sit on the trainer!
I can't believe how fast I went from OK to horrible feeling. Maybe that's what I get for ignoring it all for a few days? Not helping any that most of my post-bike recovery sat stagnant in my tummy until Monday morning--can't recover like that!
Now--work hard, be patient, and we'll get back to 100% soon enough.
