               STRENGTH 1hr
               BIKE COMMUTE 9.5 miles

Sunday I was sore as expected in the quads, the ribs also sore but that mostly made for awful sleep. My left hip didn't hurt as I expected it to. Did some stretching and made sure to break for a walk during the drive back to STL.

Monday I was really sore and tight in the quads. Did 30 mins of stretching but wasn't ready for foam rolling yet. On the bike I had zero power it seemed. And having the rib pain -- every freaking bump went right into the rib cage. I'm kinda convinced its bruised not broken. Oh and the headwind on the way home.....

Tuesday I surprised myself by going to the gym for training. I debated canceling to recover, but a part of me knew I could do it, and I did. In fact, I felt better afterwards, still pained but a little more flexy and less stiff. We did lats and mostly rows, a few new cable-pulley and row machines. Kept the focus on the upper body even though some lower body might not have been a bad idea. JG joked that I was still moving too quickly between sets, that not even pain slows me down, lol!

I also noted that this past weekend I barely thought about my left side as "weak" or "injured" at all, like I'd finally broken through that mental barrier of limitation. Which brings me to what my goals should be for the next few months of PT, as I'm now down with the 3 months I'd originally planned for and now I expect I'll continue for at least another month or so.

I do believe I'll find myself a new placeI don't want to be the bad guyI don't want do your sleepwalk dance anymoreI just want to see some palm treesI will try and shake away this disease

Yes, shake away the disease of feeling weak and injured and sick!

Based on the race, I think my gluts needs some strengthening to keep the hips strong. What else? Plyometric type stuff?
