RUN 12.25 miles in 1:58
BIKE 16 miles in 1 hour, indoors!
Got a late start to the morning, I delayed so I could see DH leave for work. So I didn't start the run until 9am! By that time, I was feeling sluggish and unmotivated. I knew I wanted to run, but I didn't want to run.
After walking the dog and smacking my poor right upper hip into the greenway gate fence I took off, aiming for an easy-paced 'last long one'. Just get it done, was the real goal in the end.
I looped the MoBG and TGP, feeling better as the miles clicked by but never really feeling great. I need to get my health and nutrition fixed here real soon.
I stumbled twice on cracks in the sidewalk, the first one along Magnolia was a near wipe-out. I rarely do that! It told me just how mentally fuzzed I am. That's why I did the bike indoors, I just didn't trust myself in traffic. Not sure I could stay upright!
Happily my taper began the moment I took off the bike shoes. I really need the rest.
Unhappily, that evening the doggie got into a dog park fight and had to go to the vet. I was falling asleep on the floor of the exam room, yet another late night when just minutes before the fight I was telling DH that I need more sleep (I'm not sleeping through the nights the past week or two). Just what we needed, more to do, schedule disruptions, and the possibility that she won't be ready to board next week when we go to MiTi. How selfish of me though! I'm terribly relieved she's OK, it could have been so much worse.
And it's a Supermoon night! And since I wake up in the night I got to see it a few times.
