Last run speedwork

RUN 7.2 miles in just under an hour, 6x800 (400)
BIKE 15 miles in just under an hour, that's it?!
COMMUTE 3 miles home

Got a later than usual start so the sun was up and in full shine by the time I reached the track. I loved how crisp and clear everything was today! The sky so blue and clear, the grass bright green, the track with sharp white lines, the air clear...wonderful.

I felt good too, tired but tall and light for some reason. The run goal was 800 at 85% and pushing the last 200 up a gear. I'm not sure I was really hitting 85%, probably could have gone a bit harder? But I didn't climb a higher gear for the last 200.

I came home and was HUNGRY, so I ate a bowl of strawberries and a chicken thigh. Note that this is NOT a great meal for a bike ride. Didn't cause problems, but it could have been more carby and cleaner burning.

I say that because I had little oomph and energy for the bike, as evidenced by the low mileage. I did loops in TGP. I'd like to blame the head wind...but in reality it was likely mostly on me.
