BIKE: 45-50 mins, 15 miles
RUN: ~36 mins, 4 miles
Can you believe that in all these years living here, I only just this week found out that there is a great 5 mile loop in Fo Pa? Great hills, all streets, great course...I only just this week learned that? I rode the loop Tuesday with RM in an easy spin and when I went home to map it I learned it was 5 miles!
Today I started at 6am with the group, the goal was to ride until just before 7am then join LC for her extra mileage. I hadn't run with the group since late March--before my ankle injury--and I really miss it. Especially the Thursday long runs.
I managed 3 loops on the Puppy. The weather was chillier than I expected and my hands suffered a bit, but overall it was a great ride. The gearing on the Pupster forced me into a higher cadence, another benefit. The first loop was in 18 mins so I aimed to hold at that pace for 2 more loops. I would have loved to do 3 more but I did want to have time for T2 and a 7am run start.
The run was easy and refreshing. They usually are as a brick! My legs seem to feel better for running after a good ride. I can remember days when that wasn't the case!
