Tuesday speedwork: 6x 600's

RUN: 45 mins, 5 miles

Continuing the recent trend of The Blahs, I didn't feel excited about this workout. I had another long day working on the house but what helped me get there was a friend needed a ride. She's always excited about speedwork and it was inspiring to go with her. As usual, I didn't look at the workout schedule before going. I kinda like the surprise when I get there.

600's aren't that bad, only a lap and a half around the track. Pacing is the tricky part--600m sounds short so it's easy to go out too fast. I was tired enough that this wasn't a problem. In fact, I felt pretty good the first two intervals. Actually they were all good with the exception of the last one. I consistently stayed in the 2:33-2:40 times (no HR data). The recoveries were tough though. I wasn't recovering very well in the few minutes of rest.

In the end, I felt good after the workout but not refreshed.
