A real weekend of training, thank you warm weather

Saturday (OK not so "real") BIKE 90 mins on bird
Sunday RUN 6 miles in 1:03 on MCT
BIKE 18.3 miles in 1:12 on MCT

From polar freeze to what feels like spring, this weekend was in the 60s!

My left foot still hurts, it's not really a pain, but it's a something. I skipped the short Saturday run to bike instead. And since it was still cool out Saturday morning, I just did a good hour indoors in the morning, and since I had more energy go burn I did another 30 mins later in the afternoon.

Sunday, yeah, here's the real meat of the weekend :)  Even though my foot was feeling a "something" I decided to try running and see how it felt with the Cascadias on the flat MCT surface. I noticed Friday that walking felt better in them, less roll maybe? Anyway, it felt fine. Yeah, I felt it, but again it's not really a pain per se. It's just an uncomfortable feeling, that could very well be or become an injury. I did 3 out and 3 back, all easy.

Then the cool down, on Puppy again out n back. I was parked near the Culver's in C-ville so I rode to whatever that little town is where I used to park north of the race track. It is ... looking... Madison. For some reason I thought it started with and R or a P in the name. Anyhoo, I put on a few jump intervals of only a few seconds and limited myself. All felt good, although my hands need to acclimate to riding again, I had the cool vibrations in my forearms afterwards, that's fun for an hour but not more than that.

I didn't get to wear my new gear, likely my butt would have been happier like SO said, but I didn't feel like changing between run and bike. I did get to wear my new jacket. Damn it's so nice!

How's the heart, I'll bet your wondering. Well I still feel a "something" there too, but I can't describe it. It's like a, idunno, an ache. Sometimes sharper sometimes duller but there. Not always there, and not inducible either. In my head? I'm taking the amlodipine, not sure if I notice a difference with or without it.

As for the foot, skip tomorrows run and do elliptical, give it a chance?

Speaking of running, I randomed across a Monarch Ultra (not at all sure how I found it), a relay race running from Canada to Mexico, some 4200-ish kms. Runners do I think 50K segments. $200?!?!

NUMERICS 7:13!  Real numerics for the first time!
SWIM  1700 yards
BIKE 55.3 miles
RUN 16.7 (was supposed to be closer to 20, oh well).
