BIKE 7 miles? at babler for the TT
BIKE 5 and 4.2 miles to/from pool
SWIM 50 mins and 2000 yards
Up early to meet with SO for his race a Babler TT, 4 miles of the park starting with a downhill northward up the middle of the loops then back uphill on the western edge. A "really good time" described as under 10 mins, damn that's fast on those hills.
I rode Puppy around, playing with the new drive chain and finding it to be much improved from before the repairs. Not perfect yet.... but I'm going to keep playing. Maybe it's just me.
Once done (9:47 was the time I caught, still awaiting results) he did a run on the eastern edge of the park while I rode and muled water. I wanted to run, but wasn't sure of my ability on the hills and didn't want to slow him down. Besides, I wanted a long run tomorrow as that would benefit me more. Then 2 or 3 loops on the Kwood lazy river :) Then home.
Once home, got some food (17 hours fast!), then biked to Carondelet pool, 5 miles with a missed turn but quick and easy. As usual, the pool is nice and new but NUTSO. 6-8 swimmers in 3 lanes but I was the only "swimmer". First I get in the middle lane with a kid swimming, he was swimming to one side and acknowledged me. But in my first lap I hit into another kid, I stop to make sure he's OK. Yup, onward. A lap later I hit another kid. The guy in the 1st lane invites me over, and I play nice saying "I don't want to punch a kid while swimming..." but in reality I did, haha.
So back to my workout along the wall, sharing with the guy who had his dreads piled into a tall swim cap and some webby-feel fins, he was aqua jogging I think. My workout was drills then 400 300 200 100, and I'm proud to say I did NOT pull them!! This was Guppy 3-4, 2000 yards. Still working on not fishtailing, long hull, and log rolling.
