First weekend of triathlon training, and a G siting!

RUN! 2.24 miles in 34 mins.
SWIM 0.00 yards in 00 mins

This was a 4 min walk and 1 min jog session with LA. God damned warm out, like spring! Of course I was overdressed.

Although I'd run 1.5 miles last week this was the better workout. Before was 1.5 miles in 16 mins of steady run. This was 2.24 miles in 34 mins with 6 minutes of running. A longer workout with rested muscles.

The training plan says that if this feels OK, I can move on to the 3 min walk and 2 min run test. The plan doesn't specify how many times I should try the 4/1. So I'm guessing that I can progress? Because this felt good and no after effects.

I'm still on the NSAIDs diclofenac. Hopefully that isn't clouding up my results and giving a sense of false success.

This was Sunday, my original plan was to run Saturday and swim Sunday, but we ended up working on his truck Saturday and moving my plans back a day. So no swim. I know, darn, but  I need to follow my plan. I've already rescheduled it.

Later in the afternoon with the doggie in FoPa I saw G on his bike!! OMG I haven't seen him since 2014 or 2015? He's talking about bilateral hip replacement, seeing the same surgeon Dr C that I initially consulted, and we said we'd look for each other at New Town this summer. Oooh that's coming up fast.

I got to wondering later, was his hip issues from arthritis? Is that my future if I keep running?
